THOMPSON HINE'S DEREK BORK AND ANDREW COX NAMED TO 2014 BTI CLIENT SERVICE ALL-STAR TEAM
Thompson Hine partners Derek D. Bork and Andrew H. Cox were named to the annual BTI Client Service All-Star Team for 2014. Thompson Hine is one of just 67 U.S. law firms with more than one lawyer recognized. This brings to 11 the number of the firm’s lawyers who have been named All-Stars, with four recognized for multiple years.
BTI surveyed nearly 300 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and other large companies, probing all aspects of client relationships, including client focus, innovative thought leadership, exceptional understanding of the client’s business, legal skills, outsized value, efficiency, cost-effectiveness and outstanding results. Bork and Cox were acclaimed for their unsurpassed client service, responsiveness, efficiency and accessibility. Client Service All-Stars are identified solely through unprompted client feedback and recognized as delivering the absolute best client service.

This is the third time Bork has been selected as a BTI All-Star. A partner in the firm’s Corporate Transactions & Securities practice group, Bork focuses his practice on takeovers, control contests and activist shareholder matters; public company board and special committee matters; securities law; and public company reporting. He also provides advice regarding strategy in takeover and activist shareholder matters and other contests for corporate control. Bork is the lead partner of the firm’s Takeovers and Shareholder Activism practice, and is a frequent writer and speaker on these topics. He has also previously been selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers®.
Cox leads the firm’s national Product Liability Litigation practice. He focuses his product liability practice on defending claims against manufacturers of specialty plastics, aircraft components, commercial food processing equipment, building materials, commercial vehicles and other industrial equipment. His business litigation practice is concentrated on defending and prosecuting business disputes in the specialty plastics and aviation industries. Cox has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation for the past two years and selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers® for 2013 and 2014.
This is the most recent client service recognition Thompson Hine has received from BTI. The firm has been named to The BTI Client Service A-Team for 12 consecutive years, and in December was named for a seventh successive year to The BTI Client Service 30, ranking eighth nationally for overall client service.
