SCOTT MARRS APPOINTED TO PANEL OF DISTINGUISHED ARBITRATORS
Beirne, Maynard & Parsons partner Scott D. Marrs has been appointed by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) to its Panel of Distinguished Arbitrators.
Mr. Marrs has more than 24 years of experience counseling clients in litigation and arbitration matters involving international, energy (oil and gas exploration, production, transportation, storage, power, petrochemical, energy marketing, well service), intellectual property (patent, trademark, copyright, trade secrets and covenant not to compete litigation), commercial, and product liability matters in state and federal courts, in both national and international forums.
“I look forward to working with this well respected panel of my peers to assist parties in timely and efficiently resolving their disputes outside the courtroom,” Mr. Marrs says of his recent appointment.
In 1979, CPR was the first organization to bring together Corporate Counsel and their firms to find ways to lower the cost of litigation. Since that time, CPR has changed the way the world resolves conflict by being the first to develop an ADR Pledge©. The organization’s membership comprises an elite group of ADR trailblazers, including executives and legal counsel from the world’s most successful companies and global law firms, government officials, retired judges, highly-experienced neutrals, and leading academics. CPR accomplishes its mission by harnessing the expertise of these leading legal minds to change the way the world resolves conflict for generations to come.
